As part of the efforts to return the company to profitability sooner rather than later, Mace Security International, Inc. will consolidate its consumer products division (which manufactures and distributes a wide array of personal defense sprays, security products & other safety devices) into one freestanding facility located in Cleveland, Ohio. “This very difficult decision will make the company more efficient and serve as another step in transforming Mace Security International, Inc. into the most globally recognized consumer brand for safety and security products and services,” stated John McCann, President & CEO of Mace.

The move will benefit the company and its shareholders in the following ways:

• Increase manufacturing efficiencies;
• Reduce transportation and logistics costs; and,
• Strengthen the company’s supply chain.

As previously reported, the strategic restructuring of the company has and will continue to reduce the overall costs of its business operations and this consolidation is anticipated to be one of the final steps in bringing Mace back to profitability. Mace Security International, Inc. anticipates that it will incur some one-time costs associated with the consolidation which will be reported in the 3^rd quarter & 4^th quarter of 2013.
