The Iowa Board of Pharmacy launched a newly redesigned website which will serve as a vehicle to promote the health, safety, and welfare of all Iowans. The website, which can be found at https://pharmacy.iowa.gov/, uses a responsive design, which means visitors using their smartphone or tablet can easily view the website while enjoying the same functionality as visitors using a desktop computer.

The website provides visitors with access to Iowa pharmacy laws, disciplinary documents, frequently asked questions and forms. Visitors can also easily find information about upcoming board meetings, meeting minutes, board press releases, and board contact information.

“The new website was created to provide the public, our licensees and registrants, and our board members with pertinent information in an easily accessible format,” said Andrew Funk, Executive Director.

The website was redesigned in partnership with Iowa Interactive, LLC, of Des Moines. The Iowa Board of Pharmacy and Iowa Interactive operate under a self-funded model in which no additional tax dollars were used to develop or maintain the website.

The Iowa Board of Pharmacy’s website is the ninth state agency to implement Iowa Interactive’s free content management system (CMS). In addition to the CMS product, Iowa Interactive manages the state’s official Web portal, Iowa.gov, and specializes in other online government applications.
