Global Client Management & Business Development for Sprint VelocitySM,
has been recognized as a 2014 Women of M2M honoree by Connected World
magazine. Through her visionary leadership and over seven years of
experience managing various automotive accounts for Sprint, Watkins is
being recognized for her outstanding and strategic contributions to the
connected car industry.

managing account activities, Watkins also oversees cross-functional

has demonstrated innovative leadership in Sprint’s development of a

Velocity combines telematics, connectivity and consumer marketing
expertise into a single solution for auto manufacturers. Watkins’ role
in educating the automotive industry about Sprint Velocity’s connected
services has also helped to draw attention to Sprint’s innovations in
other M2M markets, such as the company’s role in developing
industry-first connected fleet solutions and transportation-related
capabilities for usage-based insurance. Before joining the Sprint team,
Watkins was a successful business owner and held sales positions with a
large pharmaceutical company. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree
from Michigan State University.
This year’s Women of M2M consists of some of the most influential women
in the technology sector representing many of the largest companies in
the world. Selected because of the unique perspective they each bring to
