BOISE, Idaho -- (Business Wire)
Idaho’s Driver Record Dashboard has been enhanced to provide increased
convenience for companies that employ Idaho drivers. As the nation’s
first service of its kind, the enhancements make it easier for
businesses to comply with federal requirements and mitigate risk.
Idaho businesses can now build an unlimited roster of employee licenses
to monitor by electronically copying and pasting Idaho driver’s license
numbers into the application in groups of up to 1,000. The previous
version required entering each driver's name, license number, and/or
birthdate manually.
The new version also provides an internal audit tool that allows
businesses to track roster changes, including who made the changes as
well as the times and dates of the changes.
The online dashboard provides a convenient and much faster alternative
to the process of looking up driver’s license records manually. In
addition, the service is designed to increase public safety and help
companies reduce risk, as it flags monitored driver records with
convictions or suspensions so organizations can keep high-liability,
potentially dangerous drivers off the road.
Driver records are checked automatically twice a month for new
convictions and suspensions. Flagged licenses, as well as medical
certification issue/expiration dates and commercial driver’s license
expiration dates, are available for immediate, secure viewing by
authorized personnel within each participating organization via
individual usernames and passwords.
The Idaho
Transportation Department partnered with Boise-based Access
Idaho to build and maintain the service. The partnership operates
under a self-funded model in which no tax dollars or state funds were
used.
