LOS ANGELES -- (Business Wire)
The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF), a non-profit organization
committed to improving the nutritional habits of vulnerable children,
today announced the opening of its 24th Casa Herbalife Program in Mexico.
The new program will support Escuela Hogar Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos,
A.C. (Escuela Hogar), a non-profit organization in Morelos, Mexico that
provides permanent homes to orphaned or abandoned children living in
extreme poverty. The organization offers a safe environment where
children are taught basic education and nutrition skills.
Through an initial donation, Escuela Hogar will grow their healthy
eating options and increase the overall quality of nutritional products
available to the children in their care. In addition to the financial
donation, HFF will provide access to a regular supply of food products
containing protein, vitamins, and minerals—nutrients children need.
HFF, through its flagship nutrition program Casa Herbalife, awards
grants to non-profit organizations that provide supportive, social
services and nutrition education to underprivileged children around the
world. HFF also offers funding for kitchen modification and
reconstruction and other similar methods that ensure children have daily
access to good nutrition.
The Casa Herbalife Program was established in 2005 to help bring good
nutrition to children living in orphanages and attending after school
centers and other non-profit facilities. After the initial financial
grants made by HFF, the recipient organizations receive local financial
and volunteer support from Herbalife independent distributors, as well
as corporate employees.
