ENCINO, Calif. -- (Business Wire)
California United Bank (“CUB” or “the Company”), a subsidiary of CU
Bancorp (NASDAQ: CUNB), today announced it has been designated a “Super
Premier” performing bank by The Findley Reports. This designation is
awarded to California banks that meet the highest criteria on four
performance metrics: growth, return on beginning equity, net operating
income as a percentage of average assets and loan losses as a percentage
of gross returns.
“We are honored to receive the ‘Super Premier’ designation from the
Findley Reports for our performance last year,” said David I. Rainer,
President, CEO and Chairman of California United Bank. “2013 was a
milestone year for us, reflecting the successful execution of our
long-term strategic plan. After several years of franchise building and
the successful integration of two acquisitions, we’ve built a strong
foundation for our business-banking platform and we believe this
designation by The Findley Reports is further recognition that our
strategy is working.”
The Findley Reports, published for more than 40 years by a highly
respected financial industry consulting firm, examined 203 California
banks and ranked 129 of them as “Super Premier,” “Premier,” and
“Commendable.” California United Bank is one of only 60 banks to receive
the “Super Premier” designation.
