Global nutrition company, Herbalife (NYSE: HLF), announces that Diahanna Brown, vice president, worldwide events and promotions, was awarded the Humanitarian of the Year Award by Union Rescue Mission (URM) in Los Angeles, California.

The Paul Shoop Humanitarian Award was established in honor of one of URM’s most dedicated board members, Paul Shoop. He and his family were very active in all aspects of the Mission until a few years ago, when Paul was diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer. Paul Shoop was, and continues to be, the epitome of what it means to serve selflessly with time, talent and treasure.

According to URM’s leadership, Brown has been a tireless contributor to the organization’s mission and has faithfully supported the philanthropic efforts of the Mission/Hope Gardens, by donating her time, amazing talent and treasure.
