PLANO, Texas -- (Business Wire)
Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has been awarded a master
purchasing agreement by Rhode Island for Tyler’s Munis®
enterprise resources planning (ERP) and Infinite
Visions® school software solutions. The agreement
includes related professional services, training and support.
Tyler’s solutions were chosen to meet the state’s objective of finding a
financial system that could generate and send required reports that
would enable queries, be compatible with state systems, and be based on
the Uniform Chart of Accounts.
The new master purchasing agreement enables Rhode Island school
districts and municipalities to license Munis and Infinite Visions
directly from Tyler without the costly and time-consuming bid processes;
as part of the master purchasing agreement, Munis and Infinite Visions
will be available at pre-negotiated prices and terms.
The state chose core Munis applications, including general financial,
accounting and human capital management solutions to help employees in
public schools and municipalities across multiple levels work more
efficiently and effectively.
Infinite Visions is specifically designed for schools and municipalities
as a fully integrated solution for financial and personnel management.
It offers drill-down capabilities, customized data sorting, and delivers
the power of its solutions to employee desktops, supporting multi-user
access for all applications.
With more than 142,000 students in its public elementary, middle and
high schools, the Rhode Island system of public schools includes 296
schools across 66 public local education agencies and employs
approximately 15,000 teachers, administrators and other educators.
