AUSTIN, Texas -- (Business Wire)
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and Texas Veterans Commission
(TVC), in partnership with Texas.gov,
are proud to announce the launch of Texas Wide Open for Veterans (www.TexasWideOpenforVeterans.com),
a new website that illustrates why Texas is such a great home for
veterans and businesses that employ veterans. The website features
compelling reasons why veterans should consider making Texas their new
home, including affordable housing markets, significant job growth, and
a diverse culture. Texas Wide Open for Veterans also gives employers
critical information about how actively hiring veterans can help their
company thrive in Texas.
“Our state has so much to offer,” said TWC Commissioner
Representing Employers, Hope Andrade. “With the highest job growth in
the country, there are many opportunities for these veterans to find
work in a variety of industries in Texas. We believe Texas is the best
place to live, work and raise a family, and we want to make sure our men
and women in uniform know that we’d love for them to make Texas their
home.”
The veteran community can visit Texas
Wide Open for Veterans to:
