FRANKFORT, Ky. -- (Business Wire)

The Kentucky Community Crisis Response Board (KCCRB) has launched a new website. The site is built with dynamic response and more prominent calls to action.

“We wanted to provide first responders and Kentucky communities a website that would allow for quick reference and access to resources,” stated KCCRB Executive Director, Deborah M. Arnold.

The website offers citizens the opportunity to review volunteer opportunities, apply for membership, register with KCCRB, and enroll in classes.

The website also provides communities emergency preparedness resources and emergency planning kits.

The site was built through a public-private partnership with Frankfort-based Kentucky Interactive, LLC.

About the Kentucky Community Crisis Response Board (KCCRB)

The Kentucky Community Crisis Response Board (KCCRB) serves the Commonwealth by training and maintaining a statewide team of regional response-ready volunteers to provide crisis response services during the acute phase following a critical incident to prevent the destructive effects of emotional trauma, job-related stress and accelerate recovery before stress reactions negatively impact a first responder’s performance, career, health and family. KCCRB also provides disaster behavioral health services in the form of assessment, behavioral health triage, Psychological First Aid/critical incident stress management and referrals for: first responders, disaster relief workers and affected civilians following disasters and critical incidents across the Commonwealth. This essential service is made possible by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, a joint collaboration of funds allocated through the National Bioterrorism Hospital Preparedness Program Cooperative Agreement (BHPP), through the Department for Public Health (DPH), Emergency Management Performance Grant, through the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management and general administration funds.
