SANTA FE, N.M. -- (Business Wire)
In an effort to continually improve online service offerings, the New
Mexico Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) has recently released a new
version of the Individual Driver History Record application, https://secure.mvd.newmexico.gov/renewalservices/DHR/Individual/.
This online
service provides residents with instant access to their personal
driver history record.
“The expansion of this online service makes it easier for New Mexicans
to quickly and easily view the current status of their license,” said
William J. Duran, Director of MVD. “We are excited to continuously
improve customer service by enhancing the online experience of our
residents and eliminate their need to wait in line at a field office.”
In 2011, driver history records were made available online in response
to the high-volume of customers who required a driver history record for
employment or personal purposes. Customers can request a 3-year driver
history record online by entering unique information such as their
driver’s license number, date of birth and last four digits of their
social security number. Since its launch, more than 40,000 driver
history records have been requested through this online service.
This new version offers features such as the ability for residents to
view their driver’s license status, history of issued licenses, and
medical certification details for commercial driver license holders.
Now, instead of visiting a local field office, citizens can verify if
their license is valid or invalid from the convenience of their home.
