OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- (Business Wire)
Sprint (NYSE:S) is waiving international long distance, roaming and SMS
charges to France for all Sprint, Boost and Virgin Mobile customers in
the wake of the devastating events in Paris yesterday.
Effective Nov. 13, 2015, all Sprint postpaid and prepaid customers from
anywhere around the world will receive free international long distance
usage to France until a yet-to-be determined date.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to all of those personally affected by
yesterday’s unspeakable attacks in Paris,” said Sprint CEO Marcelo
Claure. “Amid the chaos and devastation, we want to do what we can to
show our support and comfort to all Sprint, Boost Mobile, and Virgin
Mobile customers.”
Sprint announced its intentions to provide worry-free assistance to
customers with friends and family in France early this morning in a tweet
from Claure.
