DENVER -- (Business Wire)

Many Colorado drivers can skip the line at the Division of Motor Vehicles and complete their annual vehicle registration renewal anytime, anywhere with the newly mobile-optimized Colorado Department of Revenue Online Vehicle Registration Renewal application. The application redesign, optimized for mobile use, makes it easier than ever for residents to conduct their business online with the DMV, reducing the number of residents who have to visit the DMV for services.

The Online Vehicle Registration Renewal application can be found by visiting www.colorado.gov/renewplates. All a user needs to complete the renewal online is the vehicle license plate number, a credit card or checking account, a valid email address, current vehicle emissions (if applicable) and current insurance information. A vast majority of plate types are eligible.

“We’re thrilled that more services from the Division of Motor Vehicles are available online, so residents are able to conduct their business with us 24/7 – saving them valuable time,” stated DMV Senior Director Mike Dixon. “Optimizing Online Vehicle Registration Renewal for mobile use is just one more step in our continued commitment to serving Coloradoans and reducing wait times in all motor vehicle offices.”

The online application was developed and mobile-optimized by Colorado Interactive, LLC. "Citizens just expect to be able to take care of business on their mobile device. You’re now able to renew your tags while sitting in your car in the grocery store parking lot. It is a huge convenience for citizens and will keep the lines shorter in the offices. That’s pretty awesome," stated Fred Sargeson, President of Colorado Interactive.
