About the Lawsuit

ViroPharma and certain of its senior executives are charged with issuing a series of materially false and misleading statements, during the Class Period, in violation of federal securities laws.

On April 10, 2012, shares of ViroPharma common stock dropped $6.17, closing at $22.44 per share, after the Company announced that the FDA would not grant additional exclusivity for its drug Vancocin. This announcement stood in stark contrast to the representations made previously by the Company.
