MADISON, Wis. -- (Business Wire)

Wisconsin drivers preparing for their visit to the DMV can now use a free self-service interactive driver license guide, thanks to the new Wisconsin DMV DL Guide application. Launched last month by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Division of Motor Vehicles, the DL Guide can now be accessed online 24 hours a day 7 days a week at: https://DLguide.wi.gov.

“Since obtaining and renewing a license requires an in-person visit to a DMV Customer Service Center, having all the paperwork ready and complete could save the customer time or even an extra trip,” said Deborah Godt, Driver Services Chief. “The Driver License Guide tailors information based on the customer’s specific situation.”

Drivers can type in basic information to find their current driving record with the DMV, and find their status and options as a Wisconsin driver. People that don’t have a license or are coming to Wisconsin from another state can also answer some simple questions about what they are trying to accomplish with Wisconsin DMV. As a result, they will be given specific custom information on items they need to provide, fees to pay and other helpful information. The DL Guide also helps with renewals, updates and getting a duplicate copy of your license.

More on the new Driver License Guide can be found at DMV’s website www.wisconsindmv.gov.
