Toyota Motor Corporation announces its production, domestic sales, and export results for December 2014 and for CY2014, including those for subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd., and Hino Motors, Ltd.

December 2014 Highlights (year-on-year)

Production in Japan

Toyota

- First increase in nine months
Daihatsu

- First increase in three months

Hino

- Seventh consecutive month of increase

Toyota + Daihatsu + Hino

- First increase in nine months

Sales in Japan

Toyota

- Decreased
- Lexus vehicle sales totaled 2,873 units (15.8 percent decrease)
- Minivehicle sales totaled 1,945 units (37.9 percent decrease)
- 41.7 percent share of market excluding minivehicles (no change)
- 22.8 percent share of market including minivehicles (3.0 percentage point decrease)

Daihatsu

- First increase in two months
- Minivehicle sales totaled approximately 74,300 units (39.6 percent increase); first increase in two months
- 37.2 percent share of minivehicle market (5.7 percentage point increase)

Hino

- Eighth consecutive month of increase
- Standard truck sales totaled approximately 3,200 units (17.0 percent increase); eighth consecutive month of increase
- 35.7 percent share of the truck(1) market (1.8 percentage point decrease)

Toyota + Daihatsu + Hino

- First increase in six months
- 41.4 percent share of market including minivehicles (1.9 percentage point increase); third consecutive month of increase

Exports

- Increased due to increased exports to North America, Oceania, the Middle East and Africa

Daihatsu

- Increased due to increased exports to Oceania, the Middle East and Africa; second consecutive month of increase

Hino

Hino

- Fifth consecutive year of increase
- Standard-truck sales totaled approximately 32,000 (18.6 percent increase); fifth consecutive year of increase
